Lea DeLaria, known for her role as Carrie “Big Boo” Black in “Orange is the New Black,” is set to perform in Provincetown for Women’s Week.
The comedian, actor and jazz musician will take the stage at 8 p.m. Oct. 17 and 18 at the Saki Stage at Red Room, 258 Commercial St., according to a community announcement.
With a multi-faceted career, DeLaria holds the distinction of being the first openly gay comic on television in America. She will present her show “Lea DeLaria is Outrageous,” which promises an evening of song and dance.

Tickets are $45 for general admission, $65 for VIP and an optional meet and greet for $30. They can be purchased at redroom.club/events/121565.
DeLaria’s career began in San Francisco’s Mission District in 1982. She has won three SAG Awards and is also an Emmy winner and author.
