This week’s slow-burning storyline on The Bold and the Beautiful involves Carter. He ended his engagement with Hope when he realized that she would rather be with Liam. This came shortly after he fought to get Hope for the Future back. But his heartbreak could lead to new fashion wars.
Just a Loser In Love
Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) has been through his share of relationships over the years. His most recent ones include Maya (Karla Mosley), Quinn (Rena Sofer), and Katie (Heather Tom). But it’s his relationship with Hope (Annika Noelle) that took fans on a rollercoaster of highs and lows.
The couple got together because they were tired of being shoved aside for the Forresters. Carter wanted to take over the company, and Hope encouraged them. Unsurprisingly, their coup attempt didn’t go down as planned.
Carter’s conscience messed with his head. He ended up giving the company back to Eric (John McCook), Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). He also agreed that Hope for the Future would cease operations.
Hope saw this as a betrayal. It took time and a surprise engagement from Carter for the couple to reunite. Then, Hope spent a lot of time with Liam (Scott Clifton) when he thought he was dying from cancer.
Nothing Fits Better Than Revenge
Carter could tell that Hope wanted to be with Liam and their family. He granted her that opportunity just after he made his case for her fashion line to be reinstated. However, his heartbreak could lead him to reignite the fashion wars.
Since there’s no hope for his future with Hope, Carter may want to get payback on a professional level. He could threaten to pull the line once he comes to his senses.
He might realize that Hope used him for her personal gain. A a result, he could finally listen to his friends, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), and reconsider his previous plans.
