Ever since “I’ll Always Come Find You,” he’s been living rent-free in my playlist, and it seems like he’s ready to take over again. His latest drop, “Aye Girl,” feels like a teaser for what might be his next major run — and it’s smooth as silk.
“Aye Girl” carries that late ’90s R&B magic, with a modern twist. The instrumental blends tenderness with a subtle bounce — something you could dance to, but also something that could play during a quiet night drive. Blxst floats over it with his effortless vocals and melodies that just sound expensive. Lyrically, he lets his lady know she’s the only real one in a fake world, promises to hold her down, and, like a true player, reminds her what he can do for her.
