Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun aren’t hiding their connection. The Euphoria actress and music executive were photographed holding hands in Manhattan on Sunday.
The pair dressed casually. Sweeney wore a gray pinstriped minidress with a collared neckline and long blue-and-white striped sleeves. Braun had on a white T-shirt, green trousers, a dark cardigan, and loafers.
Their New York appearance comes just days after multiple outlets reported that the new couple’s romance has intensified. On October 2, a source told Us Weekly, “They are dating, and it has become more serious. Still not putting a label on it, but Sydney has been having a lot of fun with Scooter.”
The insider added that Braun “has introduced her to new perspectives, especially when it comes to business,” and that Sweeney “admires the level of experience and insight he has.” The source continued, “Beyond the business side, she respects his drive and ambition, which has inspired her in her own life.”
Page Six also recently reported that the relationship is “very real,” with a source close to Braun saying he’s “very happy” and “really likes her.” Another insider told the outlet, “It’s not a casual relationship. It’s game on—it’s full throttle. They are together.”
On September 3, People revealed that Braun and Sweeney had “something going on already” when they went to Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos’s Venice wedding in June.
“They hung out in Italy for the Bezos wedding,” the insider said. “Syd was intrigued—Scooter’s a charmer. He’s confident, but also sweet and very attentive. He’s not really her type, but she enjoyed the attention.”
By the end of the month, things had changed. A source told People on September 30 that they had developed “a genuine connection.”
“[They] have a lot in common, and neither one of them cares what others think,” the insider added. Sweeney’s loved ones are “really happy about this relationship. For them, it’s such a relief to see her genuinely happy.”
The insider noted that the Bezos wedding was a game changer: “What really stood out to Sydney was at Jeff Bezos’s wedding. Everyone else was trying to hit on her, but Scooter wasn’t. He wasn’t pursuing her the way others did, and that’s what caught her attention and made her feel like his intentions were real.”
