The stars aligned — literally and figuratively — for Matthieu Blazy’s highly anticipated debut at Chanel, where a glittering galaxy of house ambassadors, from Nicole Kidman to Ayo Edebiri, gathered beneath a suspended solar system inside the Grand Palais.

The invitation promised an 8 p.m. sharp start time — unless, of course, you’re one of the biggest K-pop stars on earth. The lights dimmed and the music began just as Jennie swept in at 8:13, crossing the runway to embrace fellow ambassador and seatmate Lily-Rose Depp.

Then looks came out to a pulsating beat.

Pedro Pascal was front row to watch his sister Lux walk in the lineup.

The actor, who set the fashion world on fire with his daring looks during the Cannes Film Festival (or at least millions of hearts), is an accidental fashion icon.

“It’s fun to get dressed up. And I think that it really is just a matter of picking what you put on and you feel good in it. And so then that answers itself, really,” he said of his style. For the evening, he was sporting a custom Chanel sweater with a trio of double C buttons at the shoulder.

He declared Blazy’s debut “incredible.” And in a way, it was less about the clothes than the plot.

“There was so much story to it. I feel like he’s so uncompromising and that it comes from his heart in a way that I don’t see from a lot of places, and that’s not to say fashion, because I’m really a novice,” he claimed, though he masterfully cited cuts, silhouettes and past references like a pro.

“He’s telling a story, and there’s emotion behind it,” he said. “I just was really moved by how he weaved so many different things together so seamlessly.”

In Paris, he spent his morning practicing cello for his role in the upcoming Tony Gilroy film “Henrich.” He had to find a rental cello to keep up his lessons, as he did not pack his own.

He has wrapped “The Mandalorian,” which will be out in May, so another Cannes appearance could be in the cards.

For Edebiri, it was her first show as an official house ambassador — and what a day to start.

“Can’t think of a better one,” she said. After the show she felt “energized and really joyful….My eyes are so happy right now.”

Next she is off to the London Film Festival for the premiere of her film “After the Hunt,” costarring Julia Roberts. Is she going to be wearing Chanel for the red carpet? “The odds are pretty good,” she joked.

Sofia Coppola knows Chanel inside out.

She recently compiled a coffee table book celebrating 110 years of the house’s haute couture, and has been with the house since she was a 15-year-old intern under Karl Lagerfeld.

So what was her take on Blazy’s debut?

“I was really curious and had a lot of anticipation coming here and I just thought it was so beautiful and different than before, but feels like Chanel and a new era,” she said. The writer-director clocked her favorite pieces as the silk T-shirt dresses, plus a lot of the accessories and jewelry.

Next up is a film she is writing that will reunite her with Kirsten Dunst. But it’s still in the early stages and she needs to get back to the keyboard. “After all of this, I’ll go be an introvert for a while.”

The moment wasn’t lost on Gracie Abrams, who reveled in the historical aspect of witnessing a changing of the fashion guard.

“I can’t believe I got to be here to watch,” she said. “It was such a bold introduction to this new era, while also so clearly Chanel and I’m just desperate to get on the internet and look back at all the pictures of it.”

She identified a white dress as her favorite piece. “I want that if I ever get married,” she joked.

The 26-year-old just wrapped a pretty epic, two-year world tour and is right back to work on a new album. She’s signed on, along with more than 550 celebrities including Billie Eilish and Janelle Monáe, to revive the free-speech group Committee for the First Amendment.

She’s passionate about the issue. “It’s absolutely crucial. It is the foundation of [the U.S.] to have the ability to speak your truth and speak the truth, and I think it’s important to show unity in this moment when you know the current administration is doing everything in their power to make us feel like we’re divided and isolated and scared.”

With her activism and her Grammy-nominated music, Abrams was named one of Time’s Most Influential Rising Stars earlier this week. “It’s a total honor. I’m such a deep admirer of the people who are on that list, so I feel very lucky to be in their company,” she said.

The company inside the Grand Palais was pretty stellar too, with other guests including Tilda Swinton, Margot Robbie, Marion Cotillard, Naomi Campbell, Peggy Gou, Anamaria Vartolomei, Pedro Almodovar, Michaela Coel, Baz Luhrmann, Maya Rudolph and Kendall Jenner among the enchanted crowd.
