Jessica Simpson is a proud soccer mom.
The singer, 45, shared a photo on her Instagram over the weekend as she posed alongside her 6-year-old daughter Birdie. Simpson wore a black dress with a black jacket over it, accessorizing with a black bag that had stars and shiny buttons all down the side.
She posed with her arm around her daughter, wearing her hair long and a pair of black sunglasses. Simpson smiled as she stood on the soccer field with her little girl.
“JS 2.0 wardrobe for all dem soccer moms,” she captioned her sweet post.

Simpson shares her three kids — son Ace, 12, and daughters Birdie and Maxwell, 13 — with ex Eric Johnson. The mom of three and her estranged husband, 45, were married for 10 years before announcing their split on Jan. 13.

Earlier this month, the singer appeared on the Jennifer Hudson Show and opened up to Jennifer Hudson about her kids’ vocal talents. Simpson told the daytime talk show host that all three of them are musically inclined.
“My youngest can belt her brains out. Like, she has got the power and I don’t know Megadeth or, like, full on gospel, but she’s got the lungs,” Simpson said, referring to Birdie. “Maxwell, my oldest, has, like, perfect pitch. My son has perfect pitch. It’s kind of wild when you [hear] them humming along. I’m like, ‘Wait, I can’t even do that riff.’ “
The proud mom also shared how much she loves being a mother to her kids. “I love being a mother,” said Simpson. “They teach me more than I teach them.”
This past July, Simpson appeared on Today with Jenna & Friends and spoke about moving to Nashville to make new music, which appears on the EPs Nashville Canyon, Pt. 1 and Nashville Canyon, Pt. 2. The singer shared what she learned about herself and her family as she made the record.
“I went out to Nashville because I just felt like that was the place where songwriters — they’re not competitive and they allow you to be yourself,” the mom of three began. “Nothing you say is judged and I needed clarity. Like, emotional clarity in general.”
“So I thought I was going to be doing this inspirational type of record, but it ended up leaning more towards how do I get through this moment, because my whole life completely changed while making this record,” she continued.
“And it became something I never would have expected, but there is blessings in the pain. You can find beauty in the pain,” said Simpson. “I want my daughters and my son to know that, no matter what we go through in life, nothing can take us down. As long as we are who we are and we know our purpose and we are guided by that.”
