Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa plans to transform a former nightclub space into an 18,000-square-foot live music venue set to open next summer.
Borgata announced a partnership with New England entertainment group Big Night on Monday for the new venue at the former Premier Nightclub, which closed Aug. 31.
The redesigned venue will feature “immersive design, cutting-edge technology and flexibility to host performances, special events and year-round programming,” according to Borgata officials.
Big Night describes itself as New England’s leading live music, entertainment and experiential hospitality group. The company operates several venues including Big Night Live, The Grand and Memoire.
“We’re thrilled to bring Big Night to Atlantic City and to be partnering with Borgata, one of the top casino resorts in the U.S.,” Ed Kane, co-founder and principal of Big Night,said in a statement. “This is the beginning of an exciting, long-term collaboration where we’ll introduce our expertise in live music, nightlife, and experiential hospitality to one of the most iconic destinations in the country.”
The companies plan to share additional details about programming, design and amenities in the coming months.
