Hilaria Baldwin has been mercilessly mocked during her time on Dancing With the Stars, but one thing she seemingly can count on is the solid state of her marriage to Alec Baldwin.
The wellness expert and mother of seven children has been participating in the ABC program for its 34th season. Her celebrity spouse sometimes shows up in the crowd to cheer her on as she vies for the Mirrorball trophy.
Now, after also facing backlash over the controversy with her changing accent and debunked claims about her heritage, she has also needed to protect her marriage against rumors of discord, after some observant viewers noticed she wasn’t sporting her wedding band during practice sessions with partner Gleb Savchenko.
Hilaria posted on Instagram during the weekend to respond to a follower who wondered about the whereabouts of her wedding rings in recent practice clips.
In the clip, the 41-year-old embraced a stuffed version of her husband’s character from the 1988 film Beetlejuice and also demonstrated that she was sporting her diamond rings, reports the Mirror US.
“Don’t worry Cammy,” she wrote in the video caption, responding to the fan personally. “Got my Alec stand-in here while he is gone working.
“And ring is right here (tho I don’t wear it to practice because it hurts with the crazy stuff we are doing),” she continued.
The statement arrives as some viewers have raised questions about Alec’s occasional absence when it comes to watching her performances on the program.
In a live video chat shared on Reddit, the married couple discussed Alec’s planned absence during the upcoming Disney night. Alec assured his wife that he would be there to support her in the following two weeks.
“Ok, y’all calm your s–t, whose husband is going to say ‘you’re getting eliminated this week, I’m not showing up’!? If he did ‘omg this a sign he’s ragging it’. Calm down, people. Why the hell would you be negative to his wife about something she’s excited about and trying to win?! Why so confident? All he said was he plans to show up for the next 2 after, cause people asked if he was going to tonight’s,” one fan argued.
“Because he’s her husband and most husbands won’t say well…I’m not coming this week, who knows if there will be a next week,” another added. “He was saying he has already planned to be at the next 2 shows, meaning he’s boosting her up, and as a spouse, thinks she’s going to make it at least the next 2 weeks.
“? I didn’t get the feeling he thought she would stay for a while from this clip at all. I’m sure he will cancel his flights if she is eliminated,” another viewer chimed in. “And probably be relieved. He looks bored and irritated every time the camera shows him during the live show. Lol.”
