King Charles will also likely be joined by his brother and sister-in-law, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.

The couple, who are amongst the most popular members of the Firm, could also be joined by their two children – Lady Louise Windsor, 21, and James, Earl of Wessex, 17.

Princess Anne and Sir Timothy Laurence will also likely join the celebrations in Norfolk, as well as Zara and Mike Tindall and their three children – Mia, Lena and Lucas.

Princess Beatrice – who was pregnant with her second child last Christmas – and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi also joined by the celebrations last year – alongside their daughter, four-year-old Sienna and Edoardo’s son, nine-year-old Wolfie.

Two royals that are set to be absent from this year’s celebrations is Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond recently told The Mirror: “I think it’s inconceivable that Andrew and Sarah could appear in public at Sandringham. And if they joined the family party but kept away from the public and the cameras, it could open up the King to charges of hypocrisy…”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will also likely spend another Christmas with their children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, in the US.
