There’s apparently at least one showbiz couple still going strong. And it’s probably not one you’d expect. In a new interview, Leann Rimes says her relationship with Eddie Cibrian is more solid than ever, despite the things the pair have “endured”.
Leann Rimes says marriage with Eddie Cibrian is “better than it’s ever been”
Leann’s relationship with Eddie didn’t exactly get off to a smooth start. The couple faced plenty of backlash for the way their romance got started – i.e., as an affair.
But according to Leann, it’s been plain sailing in the years since. She told US Weekly: “If I look back at our relationship, I’m really in awe of the things that we’ve endured and how we’ve grown together. The place we’re in now is just so comfortable and calm and quiet. We really find our quiet together. That’s really important.”
The singer added are “very normal” and “love doing simple things together.” She explained: “That normalcy is what allowed us to have this relationship in this crazy business. Our relationship is better than it’s ever been. I really do have very major moments of gratitude.”
Leann met Eddie on the set of TV movie Northern Lights in 2008. They began a romance, despite both being married to other people. Their respective divorces came with plenty of drama – things were pretty contentious between the pair and Eddie’s ex-wife Brandi Glanville in the beginning.
However, they worked things out and the couple and their exes even spent Christmas together last year. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Brandi said in an episode of her podcast: “We do have a really good relationship and I cherish that, because a lot of people are shocked. Some of my friends still hold on to what happened in the past and hate her but I’m like, ‘Guys we’ve grown and we’ve changed. We’re different people now.’”
