Archive have shared a brand-new track, “Yahoo,” following the release of their latest album, Glass Minds, earlier this year.

The song was produced by Archive and Jerome Devoise, recorded at Metway Studios in Brighton and mixed at Studio DES in Paris.

Speaking about the track, Archive’s Darius Keeler said: “Sometimes a song comes along that is so of the moment, so connected to what’s going on in the world, that you just have to put it out as soon as it exists — ‘Yahoo’ is definitely one of those songs.

“It’s probably the most brutally honest song we’ve ever written, but it has a message that I think needs to be heard. I know some people might flinch at the direct nature of the lyrics, but there is a long and proud tradition of musical artists using their platforms to speak out on issues and challenge systemic inequality, war, and political oppression.

“At the end of the day though, ‘Yahoo’ isn’t about politics, it’s about humanity, and about the inhumane actions of tyrants and some world leaders.”

Keeler added that he believes artists are increasingly being pressured not to speak out, citing commercial pressure, promoters, algorithms and, in some cases, intimidation from governments.

“I think it’s really important that the artistic community doesn’t become cowed,” he said. “‘Yahoo’ is Archive’s heartfelt contribution to the proud tradition of the humble protest song.”

Alongside the digital release, Archive are making 100 hand-numbered 12” singles available. The limited edition features “Yahoo” on Side A and “Yahoo (Youth Dirty Bass Dub Remix)” on Side B, remixed by Youth, the producer known for his work with The Verve, Pink Floyd and U2, and as a former bassist with Killing Joke.

The 12” package also includes a digital download with additional remixes, a limited edition art print by street artist Alaric Hammond and an exclusive “Yahoo” T-shirt. The full package is limited to 100 copies and is available exclusively through the band’s store.

All proceeds from the 12” release will go to Peace Direct, an international NGO that supports local peacebuilders in conflict environments around the world.

Formed in Croydon, South London, in 1994 by former Genaside II members Darius Keeler and Danny Griffiths, Archive have built a reputation as one of the UK’s most distinctive musical collectives. Their 1996 debut album, Londinium, fused trip-hop, rap and orchestral influences, establishing the band’s cinematic and genre-crossing approach.

Across the decades, Archive have continued to evolve, moving through progressive rock, electronica, soul and post-rock while maintaining their unmistakable identity. Albums including You All Look the Same to Me, Noise, Lights, the Controlling Crowds series, Axiom and The False Foundation have helped build the band a devoted international following, particularly across Europe.

Archive released their 13th studio album, Glass Minds, in February 2026.

Archive are Darius Keeler, Danny Griffiths, Dave Pen, Pollard Berrier, Lisa Mottram and Jimmy Collins.
