Royal Caribbean officially revealed Legend of the Seas, the newest entry in its Icon Class lineup, promising “next-level family experiences” across Europe and the Caribbean.

Aiming to deliver “the most dining at sea,” the ship will feature 28 different dining options, along with upgraded nightlife concepts and entertainment experiences designed for all ages. With more thrills, chill zones, and opportunities for shared moments, Royal Caribbean positions Legend of the Seas as its most dynamic family vacation yet, combining adventure, relaxation, and connection.

“With Legend of the Seas, we are bringing to life our most legendary vacation yet as we continue to push the boundaries with more of what guests know and love,” said Michael Bayley, president and CEO, Royal Caribbean. “Those looking to get the most out of their vacation can have it all with Legend’s combination of adventure-packed experiences and incredible destinations in Europe and the Caribbean.”

Among the highlights, the new Hollywoodland Supper Club offers a multi-course dinner inspired by the golden age of cinema – with jazz, cocktails and theatrical flair.

The vessel also revives the Royal Railway – Legend Station, an immersive train-car dining concept that blends food, storytelling and technology, guiding guests through a five-course culinary journey, while tracing Marco Polo’s travels along the Silk Routes through China, India, and Italy. The AquaDome Market will feature five food-hall style stands and include a new juice and smoothie bar for day-long use.

Alongside these new additions, guests can enjoy familiar favourites like Surfside Eatery and Basecamp in Thrill Island, as well as signature spots like Chops Grille, Izumi, and Hooked Seafood, bringing together a wide range of flavours and dining styles to suit every traveller.

The cruise presents a mix of thrilling adventure and family-friendly fun, from six waterslides at Category 6 and the Crown’s Edge skywalk to Lost Dunes mini golf and the Adrenaline Peak rock-climbing wall. Seven pools, including adults-only spots like The Hideaway and kid-friendly areas like Splashaway Bay, alongside 10 whirlpools and private casitas.

Reimagined family favourites include a new carousel concept in Surfside and a redesigned Playscape for youngsters, while Icon Class staples return, including the Royal Promenade with floor-to-ceiling ocean views, the kinetic art sculpture Pearl, and the open-air Central Park with more than 30,500 real plants and restaurants. Guests can also enjoy luxury accommodations, from the exclusive Suite Neighborhood to a redesigned three-story Ultimate Family Townhouse, to better support families.

Legend of the Seas offers guests mesmerising nights with a full spectrum of entertainment across stage, air, water, and ice. The ship brings Roald Dahl’s “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” to life on the Royal Theatre stage, delivering a magical, Broadway-style experience at sea. Thrill-seekers can also enjoy performances at the AquaTheater, featuring high divers, aerialists, robots, and dancers, as well as at Absolute Zero, the largest ice arena at sea.

Evenings are rounded out with live music at venues like Lou’s jazz lounge and interactive sing-alongs at Dueling Pianos. The ship features over 20 bars and lounges, offering a lively ambience for guests to unwind and raise a glass of an expertly crafted drink.

Bookings are already open, and the ship is scheduled to embark in July 2026, departing from Barcelona and Rome (Civitavecchia) for seven-night Mediterranean cruises calling at Naples, Marseille, Palma de Mallorca and Barcelona. The vessel will then relocate to Fort Lauderdale in November 2026 to begin 6- and 8-night Caribbean sailings, visiting destinations like Aruba, Curaçao, and Royal Caribbean’s top-rated private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay.
