Max Ehrich is facing legal trouble.
The Young and the Restless alum — who was once engaged to Demi Lovato — was arrested on Tuesday, October 7, for battery on someone 65 or older, according to law enforcement sources that spoke with TMZ. The charges reportedly consist of domestic violence against a family member.
The former Nickelodeon actor, 34, was released from jail on Wednesday, October 8, after posting a $1,000 bond, according to the outlet.
Earlier on Tuesday, Ehrich displayed concerning behavior on social media, going live on Instagram with his mother in the room, who appeared visibly shaken as seen in a video posted on X.

Ehrich and Lovato coupled up around March 2020, and the Emmy Award-nominated actor popped the question in July that year. However, in September, the “Heart Attack” singer, 33, called off their engagement. Ehrich seemingly took the breakup hard as TMZ captured footage of him sulking on the beach where he proposed to her.
In April 2021, Lovato gave an interview to Vanity Fair reflecting on the whirlwind romance and why it didn’t work out.
“I think I rushed into something that I thought was what I was supposed to do. I realized as time went on that I didn’t actually know the person that I was engaged to,” she told the publication.
“We were only together four or five months. And honestly, it was false advertising. The hardest part of the breakup was mourning the person that I thought he was,” she admitted. “But I’m not the only one who felt fooled. I mean, I was just as shocked as the rest of the world at some of the things that were said and done.”
