Cross is back on the case: Season 2 of the Prime Video crime drama will premiere Wednesday, Feb. 11 on the streamer with the first three episodes, with new episodes airing weekly after that, leading up to the March 18 finale. Prime Video announced the news Thursday at the show’s panel at New York Comic Con.

The streamer also dropped a tense teaser for the new season — which you can watch above — with Aldis Hodge’s D.C. detective Alex Cross declaring, “This begins and ends with me.” We also catch a glimpse of new cast addition Matthew Lillard as Cross is warned, “If anyone hears about this, you’re done.” Cross also encounters what looks like a weird cult, with a woman ominously telling him, “We know everything about you.” In Season 2, Cross “is in pursuit of a ruthless vigilante who is hunting down corrupt billionaire magnates,” per the official synopsis.

More from TVLine

Based on James Patterson’s bestselling Alex Cross book series, Cross stars Hodge (who also serves as an executive producer) as the title character. Isaiah Mustafa, Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Juanita Jennings, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd, and Johnny Ray Gill all return for Season 2, along with new cast additions Lillard (Good Girls), Jeanine Mason (Roswell, New Mexico) and Wes Chatham (The Expanse).

Debuting in November 2024, Cross became Prime Video’s third most-watched original series in its first 20 days, drawing more than 40 million viewers globally. Ben Watkins serves as writer and showrunner.
