Who knew DDG had this much versatility as an artist?

DDG’s latest project, moo, proves that he’s growing as an artist, blending catchy hooks with introspective moments. While he may not be the second coming of Jay-Z, his music remains appealing and relatable, and moo is evidence that DDG can hold his own in today’s rap landscape.

The album kicks off strong with “hardbody,” a track that combines braggadocious lyrics with humble moments over bouncy synths. It sets the tone perfectly and feels entirely replayable. “No Smoke,” featuring Gunna, brings a chill, sly beat that complements both rappers’ styles. DDG’s verses shine as he raps about fast cars and street-ready swagger without losing his signature smoothness. “Jaded,” featuring BIA, leans into island vibes with back-and-forth flows reminiscent of Rihanna and modern Drake — it’s mellow, but definitely easy to vibe with.

Where DDG truly shows growth is in tracks like “17 More Years.” Over a relaxed, bouncy beat, he opens up about family struggles, expressing love for his baby mama and the desire to raise his child peacefully. It’s raw, real, and probably the most heartfelt song on the album. Other tracks like “Keyed Up,” “Too Many Women,” and “No Dreads” (featuring PlaqueboyMax) display DDG experimenting with melody, R&B-infused flows, and trap energy, showcasing his versatility as he matures musically.

Overall, moo is an enjoyable listen that highlights DDG’s evolution. While not every track hits hard, the combination of catchy beats, introspection, and confident delivery make it a solid addition to his discography.
