Nicole Kidman has opened up about “painful” experiences in the midst of her divorce to Keith Urban.
It’s been less than two weeks since the Babygirl actress, 58, filed for divorce from the country singer, 57, after 19 years of marriage.
As the custody battle begins, Nicole has spoken out and shared some words of advice for others going through “devastating” and “difficult” times in their life.
While speaking to Harper’s Bazaar, Nicole shared she believes it’s best to face a problem head first.
“There’s something to knowing that no matter how painful, or how difficult, or how devastating something is, there is a way through,” she said.
The actress shares her youngest daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, with Keith Urban while the other two, Isabella and Connor Cruise, are from her marriage to Tom Cruise.
According to TMZ, the country singer and actress have been “living apart for months.” Keith has allegedly been staying at another property nearby their family home in Nashville, Tenn. while Nicole has been “holding the family together.”
She allegedly wanted to save the marriage, but Keith was completely done. Nevertheless, Nicole has given up on their marriage and is now moving forward with legal moves.
Nicole and Keith originally met in January 2005 at the G’Day USA gala in Los Angeles. She previously admitted he hadn’t called her right away after exchanging numbers.
“I had such a crush on him, and he wasn’t interested in me. It’s true!” Kidman revealed to Ellen DeGeneres. “He didn’t call me for four months.”
The two officially tied the knot in June 2006 during a candlelit ceremony in Sydney, Australia.
