Varinder Ghuman Dies At 42; Fought Shah Rukh Khan And Salman Khan In Yash Raj Films’ Tiger 3

India’s best vegetarian bodybuilder, Varinder Ghuman, passed away on Thursday in Amritsar, Punjab, at the age of 42.

Known for his towering physique and commanding screen presence, Ghuman had carved a niche for himself in both bodybuilding and cinema. During his film career, he notably appeared alongside superstars Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan in Tiger 3 (2023), leaving behind an inspiring legacy in fitness and entertainment.

Varinder Ghuman also featured in several other films across industries. He appeared in Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans (2014), which was a survival thriller also starring Nora Fatehi and Marjaavaan (2019) starring Tara Sutaria and Sidarth Malhotra, showcasing his versatility on screen.

Additionally, he played a key role in the Punjabi sports drama Kabaddi Once Again (2012), further expanding his presence beyond Hindi cinema.

What Caused Varinder Ghuman’s Death?

According to a report by PTI, Varinder Ghuman passed away on Thursday after suffering a heart attack. His family confirmed the news, stating that the actor had visited a private hospital in Amritsar earlier that day due to shoulder pain.

Ghuman’s manager, Yadvinder Singh, mentioned that he was undergoing treatment when the cardiac arrest occurred in the evening. His nephew, Amanjot Singh Ghuman, also shared the details with reporters in Jalandhar.

Originally from Punjab’s Gurdaspur, Varinder Ghuman was living in Jalandhar at the time of his passing. He owned a gym in the city and earned fame as a ‘vegetarian bodybuilder,’ according to PTI.

A fitness enthusiast, Ghuman often shared his workout routines and motivational videos with his one million Instagram followers. Beyond bodybuilding and acting, he had also shown an interest in politics, expressing his wish to contest the Punjab Assembly elections in 2027.
