Gavin Adcock seems to be just about everywhere these days.
When he’s not calling out Beyonce, going after Nickelback’s sound guy or nearly getting into a brawl with Zach Bryan before hitting the stage … well, he also got arrested earlier this year.
The former Georgia Southern defensive lineman was taken into custody in Wilson County, Tennessee back on May 21 and charged with two counts of reckless driving and having an open container.
He was released on $1,000 bond.
“I bought my dream car … a 1973 Dodge Challenger,” Adcock said while explaining his arrest at the time per Whiskey Riff. “Over the past few months I’ve been putting money into it, getting it running as good as new, and decided I wanted to take it for a joy ride. The car ran great. I got pulled over and arrested for reckless driving going 103 in Wilson County, TN.”
Adcock has quickly earned the reputation — along with everything else — for being an excellent songwriter. Turns out, that’s not where the creativity ends.
For starters, he dropped a song coming out of jail called, “Morning Bail.”
But, it turns out, he also printed up a shirt featuring his mugshot and that was a pretty smart move because it apparently paid off big time.
And we know that because on a recent appearance on Bunnie Xo’s “Dumb Blonde Podcast” he revealed that he made a whopping $150,000 selling the shirt.
“Yeah, they go, ‘How did that work out for you?’” he told Bunnie. “I said, ‘Well, considering that I had to, when they towed my car, they drove it at the impound lot. Or took it for a drive, messed up my motor. I had to get a new motor for the car. I had to pay my ticket, and then I had to pay like $4,000 in lawyer fees, so I’m $24,000 in the hole from that. But I’ve probably sold about $150,000 worth of mug shot tees since then. So there’s little kids and husbands’ wives wearing my face on the couch right now, or out to dinner. So it just worked out.”
