Hong Kong-based Pccw Media has locked in Hulu as the U.S. home for its six-episode drama “The Season,” a collaboration with Sk Global.
The deal, finalized earlier this month, comes ahead of the show’s international market debut at Mipcom, where Fremantle will shop the title to buyers worldwide with support from De Maio Entertainment. Viu, which commissioned the project, retains rights across its 15-market footprint and will stream the series as original programming.
Sk Global, the production company behind “Crazy Rich Asians,” “Thai Cave Rescue” and Emmy-winning “Delhi Crime,” partnered with Pccw Media to develop the series.
