LeAnn Rimes made her debut last week on 9-1-1: Nashville, joining an all-star cast that also includes Chris O’Donnell, Jessica Capshaw, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, and Michael Provost.
9-1-1: Nashville is the second spinoff show from the original 9-1-1 series, starring Jennifer Love Hewitt. The second, 9-1-1: Lone Star, starred Rob Lowe, Ronen Rubinstein, and Jim Parrack, and ended in February 2025 after five seasons.
Rimes has been working hard to promote her new show, which viewers hope will offer the procedural drama of the other two shows plus a hit of the country music Nashville is known for.
Rob Lowe Opened Up To LeAnn Rimes About ‘9-1-1’
Ahead of the 9-1-1: Nashville premiere, Rimesspoke to Us Weekly and revealed a surprising conversation she had with Lowe about joining the new show.
“I was talking the other day to Rob Lowe and he was talking about how, ‘If you want reality, you don’t go to this series. We have the craziest rescues, which is what’s so interesting,'” Rimes recalled.
The 43-year-old country star continued, “We’ll be like, ‘There’s no way this has happened before in real life.’ Then they’ll show us the articles because they’re pulling from real-life situations.”
Rimes has been working hard to promote her new show, even making videos on Instagram using trending sounds to remind viewers to tune in.

‘9-1-1: Nashville’ Kicked Off Season With a Country Music Festival Disaster
Rob Lowe was right about the 9-1-1 franchise doing the most, and 9-1-1: Nashville didn’t disappoint. The pilot episode started out with a sketchy pyrotechnic decision and later featured a tornado hitting a country music festival headlined by Kane Brown as a special guest star.
Viewers got a look at the new characters, giving us some insight into Fire Captain Don Hart (O’Donnell) and his wife, Blythe Hart (Capshaw).
Rimes has her work cut out for her, but we have faith she’ll do her villain role justice as she takes on the part of Dixie Bennings, a washed-up backup singer with a chip on her shoulder.
