The “Get Rich or Die Tryin'” rapper has big plans for Shreveport.

On Friday, Oct. 10, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson posted on Facebook a picture of himself with the caption:

“This Shreveport idea is getting bigger and bigger, I’m gonna turn this city all the way up.”

The post garnered more than 17,000 likes and 2,700 comments with 710 shares.

This post comes a year after Jackson purchased several properties across Shreveport’s downtown and entered into lease agreements with the city on two downtown buildings.

In April 2024, Jackson entered into an agreement with the City of Shreveport to lease the city-owned production studio Millennium Studios for 30 years at a yearly rate of $2,400.

In April 2025, Jackson’s G-Unit Films entered a lease agreement on the former soundstage for $2,400 for 30 years with an option to renew for an additional 15 years.

On Sept. 23, 2025, the Shreveport City Council approved the establishment of an economic development district in downtown Shreveport. A 2% local sales tax within the district will fund redevelopment projects.

Jackson said on Instagram, “Positive vibes all roads lead to SHREVEPORT art, entertainment, music film&Television.”
