Akshay Kumar’s Advice To Newcomers
At the recent Filmfare Awards, host Shah Rukh Khan asked Akshay Kumar to share some words of wisdom for newcomers in the industry. Responding to this, Akshay said, “I want to say just one thing to all the newcomers and the upcoming newcomers that never sign a 3-film deal with any producer.”
The Khiladi actor also referred to Aryan Khan’s debut series, saying, “You must have seen The Ba**ds Of Bollywood* and what our hero had to go through. The film makes it clear what a debutant should and should not do.”
Emphasising his point, Akshay added, “Do not sign a 3-movie deal. Give your debutant freedom, allow them to run away. As it is said that ‘let them free, if they belong to you, they will come back.’”
Sharing his own approach to work, he explained, “I always say money attracts money, and similarly, work attracts money. No work is big or small. It happens at times that I like the story of a film, but my role is small, yet I still do that film because I know that the movie is good and I want to be a part of history.”
Speaking about his long and successful career, Akshay concluded, “If you manage to get that right, you will be able to stay in this industry for a long time.”

Earlier, Yash Raj Films was known for signing its newcomers under a three-film contract right from their debut. Some of the actors who began their careers under this policy include Anushka Sharma, Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor.
On the work front, Akshay Kumar is currently juggling multiple projects with director Priyadarshan. The duo is collaborating on three films: Bhooth Bangla, Haiwaan and the much-awaited Hera Pheri 3.
