Watching your son compete on national TV has got to be exciting — seeing him perform risqué dance moves? Not so much! Terri Irwin had the funniest (and most relatable) reaction to seeing son Robert Irwin, 21, strip off his shirt and perform other sexy dance moves on Dancing With the Stars.
A reporter for Entertainment Tonight asked Terri about her reaction to Robert’s “hip thrusts” and “shirt coming off” on a recent episode with DWTS, making her laugh. “Yeah, well…” she starts, making Robert laugh.

“I knew what the dancing involved,” she continued, sharing that Robert’s professional dance partner Witney Carson made sure to tell her ahead of their performance.
Terri added, “I am immensely proud. But I still see you as this little, tiny loaf of bread, toddling around with your chubby little legs.” Is that not the sweetest response ever? As a mom, I can confirm that we’ll always see our kids like they were as sweet babies, and I love that Terri said that.
Last week, ET asked Robert to confirm the rumors that he was approached by Chippendales to dance for them. “That is true,” Robert said with a laugh. “The Aussie boys as well, Thunder Down Under,” he continued. (Hey, we don’t blame them!) But Robert turned them down.
“Mate, all power to them. Not for me,” he added. “Not right now. I’ll take the shirt off, every now and again, I’m gonna draw the line there.”
Tonight on DWTS is Dedication Night, and Robert is dedicating a dance to his mom.
“Tonight I dance for my mum, the strongest person I know,” the wildlife conservationist wrote on Instagram. He shared several throwback pictures of him and his older sister Bindi Irwin, 26, throughout the years with parents Terri and the late Steve Irwin.
“My mum and dad created a legacy that I’m proud to continue,” he went on. “I hope I can use this dance to share what she means to me, to our family, and to say thank you for always supporting me through life’s ups and downs. See you tonight @dancingwiththestars ❤️”
He may be growing up, but he’s still his mom’s biggest fan, and it’s so sweet to see!
