The Alienfranchise has, over the last five decades, amassed nearly $2 billion at the worldwide box office. It also ignited the careers of several Hollywood heavyweights, including Bill Paxton and Paul Reiser, and Sigourney Weaver, who received an Oscar nod for her role as Ellen Ripley in Aliens (1986).
Weaver, who has since gone on to star in the Ghostbusters franchise and is set to make her Star Wars debut in The Mandalorian and Grogu, starred as the heroic Ripley in four Alien movies. While she hasn’t been featured in one since 1997’s Alien Resurrection, Weaver said she’s not closing the book on the character just yet.
