Below Deck Mediterranean star Captain Sandy Yawn has spent 10 seasons keeping her cool while steering luxury yachts around the world, but would she ever swap the open seas for a Scottish castle filled with deception and – insert Alan Cumming‘s voice here – murrrder?
When asked if she’d consider competing on Peacock’s hit reality competition series The Traitors, Sandy didn’t hesitate. “Yes, I would do The Traitors for sure,” she exclusively tells Parade.
Unlike Below Deck, where leadership and transparency are crucial, The Traitors is built on secrecy and manipulation. Part murder mystery, part strategy game, the series drops celebrities into a castle deep in the Scottish Highlands, where they compete in challenges while secretly working to uncover — or conceal (depending on their role) — the “traitors” among them for a chance to win a $250,000 prize.
“I don’t know how well I would do,” Sandy admits with a laugh, acknowledging that leading a crew and navigating a game of lies are two very different skill sets. Still, she made it clear she’d be up for the challenge, telling Parade, “I would do my best.”
Bravo personalities have become staples on The Traitors since its 2023 debut, with Below Deck’sKate Chastain quickly becoming a fan favorite in Season 1 (and later returning for Season 2). Real Housewives stars including Phaedra Parks and Dolores Catania have also brought big personalities to the castle.
The upcoming fourth season will feature 23 competitors from across reality TV, sports and entertainment, including Lisa Rinna, Porsha Williams, and Dorinda Medley; as well as Survivor’s Rob Cesternino, Yamil “Yam Yam” Arocho, Natalie Anderson; and Big Brother’s Ian Terry and Tiffany Mitchell. Other notable contestants include Mark Ballas from Dancing With the Stars, Top Chef host Kristen Kish, and RuPaul’s Drag Race‘s Monét X Change (RuPaul’s Drag Race). A premiere date has yet to be announced, but it will likely drop in January 2026.
