Princess Eugenie’s royal appeal appears to be undiminished by her parents’ many scandals as the younger York sister stepped out with a major foreign royal in London.
Eugenie’s mother Fergie is facing scrutiny over a resurfaced 2011 email to Jeffrey Epstein in which she called him her “supreme friend” despite public distancing herself from the sex offender.
Meanwhile, her father Prince Andrew remains in unofficial exile with no prospects for public rehabilitation over his own alleged lurid ties to Epstein.
The Duke and Duchess of York’s scandals have raised doubts about Eugenie and her elder sister Beatrice’s possible future roles in the monarchy.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Eugenie, 35, shared that she had joined Princess Rajwa Al Hussein – the future Queen of Jordan – at a London hospital.
“It was an absolute pleasure to visit Springfield University Hospital at South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS trust with Princess Rajwa al Hussein in London on Monday,” she wrote.
“We viewed a number of artworks created as part of an initiative by the charity Hospital Rooms, which integrates art into mental health care environments.
“Their mission is to commission leading international artists to produce permanent, high-quality works for mental health wards across the UK’s National Health Service, helping create welcoming and uplifting spaces for patients. Truly beautiful. Thank you for having us.”
The Jordanian royal family are currently touring the United Kingdom and were hosted by the Prince and Princess of Wales at Windsor Castle on Wednesday.
Beatrice and Eugenie have HRH titles and are ninth and 12th in line to the throne respectively but are not full-time working royals.
Currently, the Princesses juggle their own professional careers with a number of royal patronages and charitable projects they are passionate about.
The decision to pair up Eugenie with Jordan’s future Queen appears to suggest the palace has no concerns that the York sisters are a public relations liability.
Meanwhile, Beatrice also proved her mettle as she defiantly attended the Art Of Wishes Gala 2025 alongside her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi on Monday.
The exclusive dinner at The Chancery Rosewood Hotel in London raises funds for Make-A-Wish UK, a charity that grants life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
