Now You See Me: Now You Don’t has released an almost minute-long clip of their latest movie. The clip features Jesse Eisenberg performing a completely mystifying disappearing act, which has become commonplace for the series. However, there are several new aspects of the sequel which has had many fans somewhat concerned about the new film. The third film in the franchise is meant to bridge the gap between the old cast and a set of fresh new magicians. With a fourth film already in the works, many believe this could be the original Four Horsemen’s last film.
The clip itself focuses solely on one of the most important horsemen in the films, Jesse Eisenberg’s J. Daniel Atlas. He steals an incredibly valuable diamond from under the nose of a supposedly evil company of illicit arms dealers. As the trailer explains, the magicians will act more as heroes than villains in this season. Their primary goal is to completely dethrone Veronika Venderberg’s organization with the help of their new magician friends.
The clip depicts more of what audiences have come to expect from the franchise. Witty humor coupled with impossible magic. Yet, many worry that this film might be the one to finally jump the shark. While the first two films have remained relatively grounded, for films about an international club of highly gifted magicians, the plot of the third film has fans somewhat worried. Nevertheless, the film is guaranteed to be extremely entertaining and a true visual spectacle.
Although it’s more than likely that this film will be the last appearance of some of the older horsemen, this is only speculation. However, there is a fair bit of evidence to support this claim. One of the most popular themes from the promotional material has been to unite with the future generations of magicians. Many fans believe these repeated claims are enough to warrant the rumor. Either way, these new magicians seem more than capable of carrying the torch.
Overall, the Now You See Me: Now You Don’t clip is more of what fans have come to love from the film trilogy and bodes extremely well for the fourth film. While it’s rumored that some of the Horsemen won’t make it through the whole film, fans will have to wait until November 14th to find out.
