It’s time to refresh your playlist with some exciting new releases!
It’s a massive New Music Friday for fans across genres. Leading the charge is Tame Impala. Kevin Parker returns after five years with Deadbeat, his fifth studio album and a sprawling sonic adventure that blends psychedelic pop with electronic energy inspired by Western Australia’s underground rave culture. Released via Columbia Records, the 12-track record spans nearly an hour of lush production and intricate sound design. The album rollout built excitement through cryptic posts and hidden messages online, leading with singles “End of Summer,” “Loser,” and “Dracula.”
Ty Dolla $ign steps into a new era with Tycoon, his fourth studio album and first major solo effort since Featuring Ty Dolla $ign (2020). Released via Atlantic Records, the project packs 15 sleek, trap-infused tracks featuring collaborations with Kodak Balck, YG, and Tory Lanez. Building off the Vultures era with Kanye West, Tycoon was preceded by three singles: “Smile Body Pretty Face,” “Show Me Love” and “All In.”
Country powerhouse Morgan Wallen surprises fans with “Graveyard Whistling,” a haunting reinterpretation of Nothing But Thieves’ 2014 track. Originally part of his Abbey Road Sessions in 2024, the song now sees a global release across streaming platforms. Wallen strips the rock original into a raw, emotional country ballad. The song follows his chart-topping album I’m the Problem, which was released earlier this year.
