This November sees the return of MusicSA’s annual celebration of local live music, Good Music Month.

Running the entire month of November, this exciting event shines a light on SA’s music scene with a state-wide program featuring more than 100 events in venues, parks and spaces across the State.

Good Music Month connects everyone in the local scene, from artists and promoters to councils and community organisations, with every genre of music represented.

MusicSA have today shared the first program announcement, which includes gigs headlined by Canada’s pop artist Lauren Spencer Smith, the UK’s The Animals, playing their last ever Australian shows, Mercury Prize-winning singer-songwriter Sam Fender, Perth’s Sly Withers and legendary Aussie punk rockers The Living End.

It’s not just headline gigs, with this year’s Good Music Month also supporting a wide range of festivals, including Queer Club Presents: Loud & Queer at The Ed Castle, Mimp Fest: Himalayan Metal Fest at the Adelaide Unibar and the Port Noarlunga Blues Festival.

There will also be plenty of local artists perfomring live in venues across the state every day of the week, with the likes of Rob Edwards taking to the stage at The Grace Emily, Hey Harriett & Friends playing Northern Sound System, Cloning appearing at The Ed Castle, Isabelle Rumble sturttig her stuff at Ern Malley Est. 1943 and The Local Live at Glenelg taking over Jimmy Melrose Park.

The message is simple: Live Music. All Across SA. All Yours. Get into it. Go Find it.

“Good Music Month is about celebrating South Australia’s music in all its diversity, from the big stage to the hotel back rooms,” says MusicSA CEO, Christine Schloithe.

“It’s about having audiences engage South Australian artists, and shining a light on the local music ecosystem that makes our state such a rich place to experience live music.”

Good Music Month 2025 runs from 1-30 November. Full program details and registration info are available via goodmusicmonth.com.au.
