Rosie O’Donnell interviewed hundreds of guests throughout her talk show’s six seasons and more than 1000 shows. While Barbra Streisand was “probably” her favorite guest, the former host named one actor “the worst.”
“One of the worst, who, I love the guy, but he’s not good on talk shows: Keanu Reeves,” the former Rosie O’Donnell Show host, 63, said during an October 13 appearance on Australian talk show Sam Pang Tonight.
“He’s so sweet, he looks gorgeous, I love all his movies, but he would not answer a question,” she recalled. “I’d say, ‘So, Keanu, how’s it going? How are you feeling?’ ‘Good.’ … We were live. We couldn’t retape. I finally said after, like, three minutes, ‘You know, Keanu, it is a talk show. You have to talk.’”

O’Donnell clarified that the Matrix star, 61, is “a lovely man and a good-hearted guy, so I don’t wanna throw him under the bus.”
“He did come back, and he got the hang of it,” she added.
While Steisand, 83, was one of O’Donnell’s favorite guests, Martin Short was dubbed “the best guest.”
“You should book him,” she told Pang. “You come out and say, ‘How you doing Marty?’ And it’s over for you … He was the funniest and the nicest guy.”
The Rosie O’Donnell Show ran from 1996 to 2002.
