Congratulations are in order for Charlie Puth and his wife, Brooke Sansone, as the couple prepares to begin a new chapter — parenthood. On Thursday, October 16, the 33-year-old singer-songwriter announced that they are expecting their first child together. And, in true Charlie Puth style, the big news came with a musical twist.
In the 80s-inspired music video for his latest single, Changes, Charlie and Brooke appear side by side. The latter was seen wearing a cosy red sweater. At one point, she placed her hands on her stomach. The singer joins her, smiling and resting his hands over hers, signalling that they are about to become a family of three. The couple then walks away together.

Charlie Puth’s Fans Are Excited For The Couple
The singer’s fans had already begun guessing that some special announcement was coming. On October 8, Charlie posted a cryptic message on his Instagram account, saying his new song was the “perfect way” to share about the most beautiful phase of his life. He wrote, “Changes out 10.16. This is the song I wanted you to hear first because it’s a perfect way to bring all of you into the most beautiful, colourful part of my life, which happens to be right now. You will soon know why…”
Now, his fans know exactly what he meant, and they couldn’t be happier for the expecting couple. The comments section of his announcement post quickly filled with congratulatory messages. One fan wrote, “Congrats!! I’m so happy for you both!!”
Another added, “CANT WAIT FOR PUTH JR!! CONGRATS.”
“Charlie and Brooke, congrats!! Prof Puth is gonna be a DAD!” a different fan excitedly mentioned.
The announcement came over a month after the couple celebrated their first wedding anniversary. Charlie and Brooke, who began dating in 2022, exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony surrounded by close friends and family on September 7, 2024, in Montecito, California. On their anniversary, Brooke posted some unseen pictures from their special day, and penned, “Moments from the day we said ‘I do’… so many amazing memories since, and countless more to come! Can’t wait for the crazy year ahead. I love you, melon”
What’s Next For Charlie Puth?
Besides announcing that he and his wife are expecting their first child, Charlie Puth also announced his fourth studio album, Whatever’s Clever! The album is scheduled to be released on March 6, 2026. The upcoming album will be a follow-up to his 2022 album Charlie.
