Wouldn’t it be nice to have a stylist to help you get dressed in the morning? It might never be a reality for us normal folks, but at least we can live vicariously through those who do! Every week, we spend a borderline concerning amount of time browsing through all the most recent celebrity sightings and critically assessing their outfits, and personally, I can’t help but pick out looks that I want for my own wardrobe.
The fall fashions were really on fire over the past week. Reese Witherspoon wore a lineup of stylish suits for all her meetings in NYC, and Kate Middleton embraced my favorite fall trend: the barn coat! There were also tons of A-listers in the Big Apple ahead of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, and naturally, they were all dressed to the nines as they headed out to various parties.
If you enjoy critiquing the outfits of the rich and famous as much as we do, here are eight of our favorite fashion looks of the week — as well as three that we’re not sold on.

Reese Witherspoon has been out and about in NYC all week, gracing us with a variety of stylish looks, but my favorite was undoubtedly this chic monochrome ensemble. The 49-year-old actress wore head-to-toe maroon — including satiny trousers, a button-up inner vest, and this tweed crop jacket — as she stepped out of her car. She finished the look with a sophisticated black handbag and brown leather stilettos, and it’s a prime example of how to embrace monochrome dressing in a way that’s chic and seasonal.

Catherine, Princess of Wales, visited a flax farm in Northern Ireland this week, and she managed to look as sophisticated as ever while still dressing for the occasion. Her cozy layered look included a lightweight turtleneck, gray wool cardigan, and a barn coat on top. These practical utility jackets are one of my favorite fall trends — they have a boxy shape, lots of pockets, and a contrasting collar, often made from corduroy. I recently picked up a barn coat of my own, and I’ll definitely be emulating Kate’s practical look when I head out apple picking this autumn.
Victoria Beckham nails the ‘office siren’ look

Officewear, but make it sexy! Victoria Beckham was seen in NYC as she headed to an appearance on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, and her all-black ensemble was giving “office siren” in the best way. She paired a silky black blouse with a calf-length pencil shirt, but the top has a plunging V-neck and the skirt has a daring slit up the back. She completed the look with a pair of sky-high stilettos and oversized maroon sunglasses, and we have to give the look a resounding 10/10. (Just don’t actually wear it to the office, or you might find yourself in a visit to HR.)

George and Amal Clooney attended the BFI London Film Festival this week, and while George looked as dapper as ever in his navy blue suit, Amal definitely stole the show in her shimmering gown. The floor-length pink sequin dress is by Tamara Ralph Couture, and it features a tiered fringe skirt that’s anything but boring. She completed the head-turning look with an extra-fluffy feather stole, a matching pink lip, and dangling statement earrings, proving once and for all that you can be sophisticated while still having fun.
Bella Hadid is all-in on ‘cowgirl fall’

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show took place this week in NYC, so the streets were flooded with some of the most beautiful women in the world — including supermodel Bella Hadid. She was spotted in SoHo looking as effortlessly cool as ever, and I couldn’t help but notice that her outfit screams “cowgirl fall.” Her leather pants are from Dolce & Gabbana and feature a yolk-waist, scalloped fringe down the sides, and intricate embroidery. She paired the equestrian-inspired bottoms with a simple sleeveless turtleneck, cowboy boots, and tiny orange-tinted sunglasses. If this look doesn’t make you want to embrace Western attire, I don’t know what will!
Elle Fanning proves the LBD is timeless

Bold, busy prints are all the rage right now, but Elle Fanning said “no, thank you” to maximalism at the London Film Festival. Instead, she embraced the most timeless look of all: the little black dress. For her after-party attire, she donned a low-cut black look that hit right below the knee, paired with simple black strappy sandals. The elegant design is from the brand Marni, but you can easily take a page out of Elle’s playbook with a similar LBD for your next formal event.
Jeremy Allen White embraces fall essentials

Heartthrob Jeremy Allen White has been in London promoting his upcoming film, “Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere,” and he managed to make a classic fall outfit look effortlessly cool. He layered a blue plaid flannel under a bomber-style leather jacket, finishing the look with a pair of light-wash jeans. They’re probably all pieces you already have in your closet, and together, it’s a fall-ready ensemble that’s just right for any seasonal outing.

Actress and singer Selena Gomez tied the knot at the end of September, and she was spotted out in Los Angeles this week for the first time post-nuptials. She’s still very much in her bridal era, wearing a breezy white DÔEN cotton-toile midi dress, which has a shirred bodice and puffed sleeves. She paired the summery dress with practical flats, and we were able to track down the exact pair from VIVAIA. They’re more affordable than you might think, and fans of the brand rave about the comfortable and flattering fit.

Nina Dobrev made headlines last month when she called off her engagement to Olympic snowboarder Shaun White, but she’s not letting the breakup stop her from living her best life. She was out in NYC this week, attending the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show afterparty, and we have to applaud her classy getup. It included a high-neck deep purple sweater and this luxe midi skirt from Victoria Beckham’s fashion line, topped with a black ankle-length trench coat. She wore her hair in a slicked-back pony and finished the ensemble with open-toe stilettos, and she looked every bit as fabulous as the models on the VS runway.
Sabrina Carpenter serves up a saucy pantless look

Not every celeb hit it out of the park this week, though. We usually love Sabrina Carpenter’s pinup-inspired fashion choices, but her latest outfit caused quite the stir online. The issue wasn’t what she was wearing —a butter yellow off-the-shoulder sweater — but rather what she wasn’t: a pair of pants. She was totally bare on the bottom, and she took the polarizing look even further, slipping on a pair of yellow frilly socks with sparkly open-toed heels.
Julia Roberts is apparently getting ready for Thanksgiving

Julia Roberts can do no wrong in our book, but this outfit definitely left us scratching our heads. The A-list actress is in London promoting her latest movie, “After The Hunt,” and her fashion choices were… unconventional, to say the least. She stepped out in a pair of knee-length trousers and an oversized black blazer, as well as fishnet stockings, lace-up shoes, and an extra-long bedazzled tie. It’s giving “Thanksgiving pilgrim” — and not in a good way.

I love Lili Reinhart and can’t wait to see her in “The Love Hypothesis” next year, but I’m not sure what’s going on with her latest look. She was photographed in NYC wearing a sleeveless, semi-sheer Mistica slip dress and matching scarf, and while I’m not a huge fan of the ’90s-inspired look, my bigger issue is that it’s been very cold in New England this week. We’ve had a high temperature of around 60 degrees most days, and I can’t help but wish Lili’s stylist had put her in a more seasonally appropriate outfit — I’m freezing just looking at her!
