Crane Country Day School invites families from the Santa Barbara area to its annual Crane Country Fair, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19 at 1795 San Leandro Lane, Montecito.

For more than 25 years, the fair has been enjoyed by attendees of all ages. This year’s event features the return of such popular attractions as sports inflatables, a classic cupcake walk, climbing wall, sack races, sponge toss, face painting, arts and crafts; and, especially for the youngest fair-goers, the duck pond and petting zoo.

The fair also offers a variety of food and refreshments:
• Big Daddy’s BBQ serving their signature hotdogs and hamburgers.
• The Healthy Hut offering fresh selections from The Food Liaison.
• Sweet and cold treats include Kona Ice snow cones, freshly squeezed lemonade, hot/cold brews from Rincon Coffee, and espresso drinks from Village Coffee SB.
• Savory options like popcorn and pretzels.

Visitors to the Country Kitchen & Market will find homemade goods, such as decorated cakes and classic cherry pies; jams; and freshly harvested avocados, lemons and passion fruit. Handmade products like wooden cutting boards and flower crowns are also among the offerings.

The Fair Raffle is always a highlight of Crane Country Fair, with prizes this year including signed coffee table books by photographer Gray Malin and artist Robert Polidori; a night at the Montecito Inn; gift baskets from The Eddy and The Santa Barbara Company SkinCeuticals skincare products; sip-and-shop experience at Godmother’s Books; cruise on the Double Dolphin; and gift certificates to Food Liaison and Summerland Spa.

Raffle drawings will occur throughout the day and winners do not need to be present to win.

Crane’s middle schoolers will be hosting the Coyote Cares booth, bringing back their Happy-Gram postcards, inviting fair participants to write positive messages and drop them into the “Crane Post Office” box. This initiative demonstrates two of the school’s core values “Cultivate Kindness” and “Put We Before Me.”

Admission to the Crane Country Fair is free; however, a wristband or tickets must be purchased to participate in the games and activities.

The fair is powered by the Families for Crane parent organization, which manages all the activity and food booths. Additionally, many Crane alumni return to campus to lend a helping hand.

Fair sponsors include Coyuchi, Girls on the Run, Gray Malin, K. Frank, Montecito Plastic Surgery, Montesano Group, MOXI, Randy Solakian Estates Group, Sage Society, Santa Barbara Trapeze, Schwan Bros., Sol Wave Water, and Trippers & Askers.

For more about Crane School, or to schedule a school tour, contact Erin Guerra, 805-969-7732 ext. 106, or visit www.craneschool.org.
