Inside the Million Dollar Theatre Los Angeles

Something terrifying is happening across the United States just in time for spooky season — a film from the ’80s is making a comeback! For more than four decades, Sam Raimi’s “The Evil Dead” series has haunted audiences with its blood-soaked creativity, DIY spirit, and maniacal humor. This year, the cult-classic returns in a brand-new form that’s as spine tingling as it is symphonic. “Evil Dead in Concert” transforms Raimi’s 1981 horror masterpiece into a live cinematic experience, complete with a full orchestra performing original composer Joe LoDuca’s score in sync with the horrors on the screen. The result is equal parts concert and nightmare, as audiences are pulled back into Raimi’s twisted world, surrounded by real instruments that seem to scream right alongside the on screen characters.

For longtime “Evil Dead” devotees, the concert is a chance to rediscover the film’s terrifying magic in a new light. For newcomers, it’s an unforgettable way to witness a cornerstone of horror film history. In a press release statement shared by Black Inc Presents, Joe LoDuca gushed that he is “so excited for audiences around the country to join us on an intense, aural descent into hell with this beautiful score and all its madness.”

Revel in an immersive horror film experience

Inside the Million Dollar Theatre Los Angeles – Black Inc Presents

Although the event will continue across different U.S. cities, in true movie-making fashion, Los Angeles (and its love for Halloween) will be taking matters a bit further, with a three-night engagement of “Evil Dead in Concert” at the historic Million Dollar Theatre, located in downtown. From October 30 to November 1, the doors will open early to welcome fans into an environment that’s as theatrical as the main event itself. Before the film begins, attendees can explore The Cellar: An Underground Evil Dead Experience immersive walkthrough attraction inspired by the movie’s infamous basement scenes. Expect eerie lighting, scare actors, themed cocktails, and photo ops straight from the pages of the Necronomicon. With doors around 4:30 p.m., you’ll have time to explore The Cellar, check out photo spots, and grab a pre-show bite from the nearby Grand Central Market.

While the Los Angeles engagement marks the centerpiece of the tour, “Evil Dead in Concert” is spreading its unholy magic far beyond California. Early stops included Buffalo, Cleveland, and Detroit, and even after the Los Angeles shows over Halloween weekend, the tour continues through the fall, bringing the experience to cities like Phoenix, Houston, and Orlando. Each stop reimagines “The Evil Dead” through the lens of its local culture — urban venues transformed into haunted woods for one unforgettable night. No matter the city, the formula remains the same: a cult classic, a powerhouse live orchestra, and a crowd of horror fans united in both laughter and screams. Tickets for all tour stops are available now at EvilDeadInConcert.com. Just don’t wait too long to secure your seat. After all, the dead don’t stay quiet for long … and when they rise again, you’ll want to be there to hear every spine-tingling note.
