Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter, Apple Martin, joined Jade Street on stage at Cannery Hall in Nashville on October 17, just one day after she teased that she’s testing out the waters of the music industry.
A video making the rounds on TikTok on Monday, October 20, showed Apple, 21, wearing a sleeveless white crop top that she paired with a black mini skirt and black boots. The Vanderbilt student swayed back and forth to the music as she sang and ran her fingers through her hair.
Not everyone was impressed with Apple’s vocals and TikTok users were left divided in the comments section.
“Someone really needs to tell her,” wrote one person, while another added, “The Apple does fall far from the tree.”
A third person questioned if there was potentially a technical issue and asked, “Ok , it can’t be as bad as this sounds, is something wrong with acoustics?”

Others came to Apple’s defense and said that those critiquing her performance should “chill.”
This wasn’t Apple’s first time taking the stage or dabbling with a potential music career. In 2016, she joined her dad and Coldplay frontman, Chris Martin, 48, at a charity event for the Malibu Boys and Girls Club and the two sang Ariana Grande’s “Just a Little Bit of Your Heart.” Then in 2021, she earned herself a writing credit on Coldplay’s song “Let Somebody Go” from their Music of the Spheres album.
