Kevin Federline has released his controversial new memoir, which includes shocking claims about his ex-wife Britney Spears.
In the book, titled You Thought You Knew, 47-year-old Kevin recalled the “final straw” in his marriage to Britney and claimed to be fearful for the 43-year-old singer, suggesting she’s “racing toward something irreversible.”
Britney has hit back at the book, accusing her ex-husband of “gaslighting” her and denying the claims he’s made. It seems Britney isn’t the only one annoyed with the release of Kevin’s book, with a source suggesting her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake feels “sad” about the situation.
The source said that while Justin is “not especially close” to his ex, he does have “a lot of sympathy towards Britney.”
Justin, 44, dated Britney from 1999 until 2002 and apologized to the singer in 2021 for his behavior during their time together.
Britney also addressed her relationship with her sons and posted on X, “The constant gaslighting from ex-husband is extremely hurtful and exhausting. I have always pleaded and screamed to have a life with my boys.
“Relationships with teenage boys is complex. I have felt demoralized by this situation and have always asked and almost begged for them to be a part of my life. Sadly, they have always witnessed the lack of respect shown by (their) own father for me.”
A spokesperson for Britney said in a statement, “With news from Kevin’s book breaking, once again he and others are profiting off her and sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin.
“All she cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James, and their well-being during this sensationalism. She detailed her journey in her memoir.”
