Katy Perry has made a cheeky move just days after apparently confirming her relationship with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
The 40-year-old pop star performed at the O2 Arena in London, England, last week, and invited two fans on stage – at some point, one of them jokingly proposed to her, saying, “I heard you were single,” but Katy replied, “I wish you’d asked me 48 hours ago.”
The admission came just days after photos emerged of Katy and Justin sharing a steamy kiss on board her yacht off the coast of Santa Barbara, California.
Then on October 20, Katy liked a satirical Instagram post from The Onion about her which alluded to her romance with the 53-year-old politician.
The post, titled Katy Perry Releases New Single About Superiority Of Canadian Manufacturing, included a fake quotation from the singer, saying, “When I learned about the strength of Canadian automotive and aerospace manufacturing, I knew I had to put it in a song.”
It comes amid reports that Katy’s ex Orlando Bloom attended the London show where she seemingly confirmed her new relationship.
A source told The Sun that the Hollywood star had attended the show with his and Katy’s five-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom.
“Katy has always poked fun at herself on stage so the gags about her love-life wouldn’t have offended him,” the source insisted.
Reports of Orlando attending Katy’s concert come after a source said Katy is always messaging Justin when they can’t be together due to work commitments.
The source told The Sun, “They haven’t been able to spend a lot of time together as she’s on tour, but they’re constantly in contact – always FaceTiming and messaging each other.”
Another insider claimed that Justin has been “pursuing” Katy since their first date, as the pair have an “easy connection.”
Back in July, the pair were spotted walking a dog together and dining at Le Violon in Montreal, Canada – and Justin then attended Katy’s Lifetimes tour stop at the Bell Centre.
Their outings began shortly after each of them ended a long-term relationship. Katy confirmed in June that she and Orlando had split, while Justin also announced his separation from Sophie Grégoire in 2023 after 18 years of marriage. The former couple share three children together.
Referring to when Katy and Justin first met, an insider told People, “When she first hung out with Justin, she wasn’t looking to date, but they stayed in touch.
“They have many shared interests and a lot of talk about, but Katy was navigating too many things to even think about dating then.”
