Fans of the Criminal Minds alum are familiar with the actor’s love of all things Halloween. He’s not only had the chance to showcase his adoration on the hit drama, he’s also brought fans a mix of horror and comedy with his popular annual “Gublerween” videos on social media.
Given how it’s been almost a year since the last “Gublerween” episode aired online, it’s only fair Matthew give us another, right? Well, he decided to give fans a sneak peek at what he’s got planned for this year’s version on his Instagram story on October 19. And judging from the photo he posted, there’s a chance something may be rising that’ll surely give us all the creeps.
“For this year’s Gublerween treat, something is coming back from the dead … ,” he cryptically wrote over the image.
Even though it’s unclear as to what Matthew has in store for us, some fans couldn’t help but try to speculate what his upcoming “Gublerween” video may entail.
“How exciting! I saw that he posted and wondered … 🎃,” one person wrote on Instagram. “What about the tiny one in the picture? Wonder if that means anything,” another suspected.
Despite Matthew’s plans being kept under wraps, it’s clear he has something in the works for folks to see. And this is all good timing, as viewers are ready to see him back on TV after making a surprise cameo in Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3 in May 2025. And if that’s not enough, this is all coming as we all wait for his new series Einstein to premiere on CBS sometime during the 2026-2027 TV season.
