The country superstar was officially inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame on Sunday evening at the CMA Theater in Nashville. Country stars Tony Brown and June Carter Cash were also honored.

During the ceremony, Chesney expressed in his speech his gratitude for his team, family and everyone who helped him along the way. On Monday, the 57-year-old singer went to Instagram to express his gratitude, posting multiple photos from Sunday’s ceremony.

“Being inducted into the Country Music Hall Of Fame last night was the proudest moment of my life. I am humbled and beyond grateful,” Chesney wrote in his caption. “The love I felt in the room was overwhelming.”

He also took the time to thank Ballerini, Moroney and Eric Church for attending the ceremony and singing for him, as well as tagging and honoring Brown and Cash.

“The connection I share with my audience will forever be on display within the rotunda at the Country Music Hall of Fame. I am very proud of that,” he continued. “I am so grateful to be a part of such a small, exclusive group. Full of heroes and friends. So thankful.”

Many country stars and celebrities, including Maroney, Luke Combs, Jason Aldean, baseball player Dexter Fowler and more flooded the comment section with love, congratulations and support.

Known for his blend of beach-inspired country, heartfelt ballads and energetic anthems, Chesney rose to fame in the 2000s. Born in 1968 in Knoxville, Tennessee, the “Get Along” singer began his career in the mid-1990s, quickly gaining attention for his storytelling and relatable lyrics. Hits like “She’s Got It All,” “There Goes My Life” and “American Kids” solidified his place at the music industry and earned him multiple Billboard Country Music Awards and Academy of Country Music Awards.

He released his first album in 1994, titled In My Wildest Dreams. Since then, Chesney has put out 20 studio albums, including a Christmas record, two live projects and two greatest hits compilation albums. His most recent record with new music was released in March 2024, titled Born, which has 15 tracks. In May, he was featured and sang a verse in Moroney’s song, “You Had To Be There.”

Chesney is currently gearing up for a book tour to promote his new book, Heart Life Music, with several events scheduled throughout November. The tour includes stops in cities like Philadelphia, Chicago, Nashville and Miami.
