Last weekend’s Saturday Night Live episode featured Sabrina Carpenter in a brand new avatar. She appeared as a teenage boy during a sketch on the October 18 SNL episode. Posing as part of a boys podcast group, the singer went viral for her parody performance, having fans remark it was “scarily accurate.”

Fans react to Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Boys Podcast’ parody

Sabrina Carpenter, Chloe Fineman, Jane Wickline and Veronika Slowikowska recently appeared together in a sketch on SNL. They sat around a table dressed as teenage boys hosting a podcast by a made-up group named “Snack Homiez.”

Carpenter took on the role of 12-year old Tayson, who replies to his introduction, throwing a very Gen-Z hand sign and saying, “Gang, gang.” She can be seen wearing a white sweatshirt, a cap backwards, and headphones on top, to complete the teenage boy look.

When asked about their favorite Halloween candy, Carpenter’s Tayson replies, “Alright, bet. I’m going to kick things off with a controverstial pick. Twizzlers.” Soon, when replying to Jason about an Airheads flavor, Carpenter responds as Tayson, nodding “his” head, “Blue is valid. Blue is fire.”

Fans seem to have found this particular sketch quite funny. One fan commented, “Sabrina was born to play a 12 year old boy,” while another wrote, “As a public school teacher, I can confirm that this sketch is 100% accurate.” Another wrote, “This is a scarily accurate depiction of tween boys.”

The sketch also saw an appearance from James Austin Johnson as Donald Trump, who arrives as a special guest on the podcast. The first question put forward to him by the “boys” is, “Sir, so do you have like a favorite vegetable?” To this he hilariously responds saying, “You know Braylor, I’ve never been one for the veggies. Ding dongs! I like a ding dong.” Towards the end of the sketch, as Johnson makes fun of one of the boys, Carpenter’s Tayson says in a slow teenage voice, “Yo, Trump just violated bro.”
