My 600-Lb Life starring Dr. Now has aired on TLC since 2013—but did the network cancel the popular series? Will there be a Season 14?
Let’s take a closer look at the fate of the beloved reality TV show.
‘My 600-Lb Life’ Season 14: Has TLC Renewed the Show?
Season 13 ended in early 2025, and as of writing, TLC has not announced the renewal of My 600-Lb Life for Season 14. It’s not uncommon for the network to wait to reveal another season until right before it premieres. So it’s still possible that a Season 14 with Dr. Younan Nowzaradan could be in the works.
Is ‘My 600-Lb Life’ on TLC Canceled?
TLC has not announced the cancellation of My 600-Lb Life. However, there are some hints that Season 13 might have been its last.
In May, Dr. Now announced a new show titled The 6000-Lb Diaries With Dr. Now on Lifetime. The show stars the beloved and blunt bariatric surgeon as he guides morbidly obese individuals on their weight-loss journeys, often incorporating weight loss surgery.

Meanwhile, TLC launched a new series, Dangerously Obese, starring Dr. Charles Procter—a familiar face on 1000-Lb Sisters and 1000-Lb Best Friends. The show follows an identical format to My 600-Lb Life, but instead of patients seeking help from Dr. Now in Houston, Texas, they consult with Dr. Procter in Atlanta, Ga.
The combination of Dr. Now switching networks and TLC releasing a “replacement” show points to the possible end of My 600-Lb Life. However, the network has not announced anything about the series either way. Parade reached out to TLC for comment, but did not immediately hear back.
Catch new episodes of Dangerously Obese on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on TLC and streaming the following day on HBO Max.
