Television actor Vibhu K Raghave, best remembered for his role as Saurav in the Star Plus show Nisha Aur Uske Cousins, passed away on Monday night, June 2, after a prolonged battle with a rare form of stage 4 cancer. He was reportedly in his late 30s and had been undergoing treatment at a hospital in Mumbai.

On Wednesday, a funeral service was held in Mumbai where friends, colleagues, and well-wishers from the television fraternity gathered to pay their last respects. The emotional farewell was attended by many who had worked with Vibhu or known him personally in the industry.

Several celebrities took to social media to mourn his loss and share heartfelt memories. Actress Saumya Tandon wrote on Instagram, “My beautiful friend @vibhuzinsta…is with angels now. Left us last night. Vibhu you were beautiful .Inside and out. You taught me how to smile even when everything was falling apart. How to hold on to light when the world felt dark. You were a fighter till the very end — a real warrior. Even when people gave up hope, you kept going. You never stopped. We had plans, Vibhu. We wanted to make videos… to talk about everything you were feeling. We thought we had time. We didn’t. And now all I’m left with is your voice in my head, your smile, and all the love you gave me. I’ll miss you forever. I really will. Life is so damn short. I’m going to try to live it like you did — fully, fiercely, with heart. To be the best version of myself, every single day. Thank you for being my friend. Thank you for the light, the love, the laughter. And thank you — truly — to every single person who contributed, prayed, and gave Vibhu a fighting chance. I’m forever grateful to you all.”

Vibhu the last thing you told me was I Love you More , i remember laughing and crying at the same time because only u can still be so loving and funny and always smiling even on that hospital bed , i wrote you a long msg on whatsapp and went for my trip, thinking once ur home ul read it and then call me to scold me , thankyou for waiting for me to come back , thankyou for all the beautiful memories, thankyou for making me laugh when i didnt want to smile! Thankyou for being youuuuuu ! Where will we find anyone like you?????? Never! Rest in peace my strongest boy! You fought so welll till the very end and im so proud of you ! Family members, though devastated, expressed gratitude to fans and industry colleagues for their support and prayers during his difficult journey”.

Vibhu had shared his cancer journey with fans through social media over the past few years, offering hope and resilience amid ongoing treatments. Despite the aggressive nature of the illness, he remained positive and deeply connected with his followers, many of whom expressed shock and sadness at the news of his passing. He is survived by his mother Anupama Raghav, his brother Aishwarya Raghave, and his sister Garima Singh Tyagi. His family members, though devastated, expressed gratitude to fans and industry colleagues for their support and prayers during his difficult journey.
