One of the stars of Celebrity Traitors has hit out at the ‘hierarchy’ which celebrities had on the BBC show.
Ruth Codd stole the show in the early episodes of the celebrity-focused spin-off of The Traitors, with the actress receiving a great deal of praise for her no-nonsense attitude and willingness to challenge big names on the show.
Codd was killed by the Traitors at the start of Thursday’s episode after casting aspersions on Jonathan Ross, uttering the iconic line about him: “Don’t p*ss in my ear and tell me it’s raining.”
However, the actor has spoken about the supposed ‘hierarchy’ of the celebrities on the TV show, which she believes was part of why she was sent home.
Codd has opened up about the show in a new interview with The Times, in which she spoke about how the off-camera aspect of the show was incredibly difficult.

Paid £40,000 for their time on the show each, the celebs were sequestered throughout filming in a hotel near the castle in Inverness, where Celebrity Traitors is filmed.
During this time, they aren’t allowed to talk to one another, must be chaperoned by a production staff member for anything outside their room, and must use a production phone to call loved ones.
In addition, Codd opened up about a question many fans will probably have – how much booze they’re allowed each night.
Unsurprisingly this is kept strictly limited, with each celeb only allowed two alcoholic drinks a night.
Speaking, however, about her exit, Codd said: “There was probably an unspoken hierarchy in there, and that placed certain people like myself at a disadvantage, because I haven’t been in the industry very long.
“Sometimes being a strong woman can be lonely, because you’re branded as aggressive and difficult. I don’t think I’m any of those things. I just speak my mind.”

This quote was shared on social media, leading to a debate on the fact she felt there was a ‘hierarchy’ in the castle.
Many pointed out that Clare Balding was also voted out, though others quickly defended her.

Speaking about his exit from the show, Niko Omilana said that all the celebs were lovely but that they made up the ‘worst Faithfuls ever’.
Speaking about his exit on his Instagram stories, Niko said: “The way in which they’re approaching the game is, ‘Oh, it’s Niko, you are a YouTuber, you are gone, you untrustworthy scum.
“One thing which you guys didn’t see was, that roundtable is the most intense thing I’ve ever seen in my life. And, obviously, they have to cut it down for TV and make it shorter, but there were some people going crazy on me.”
