26 Years Later, One Piece Gears Up With New Anime Anniversary Reveal

One of the original One Pieceanimators has celebrated a major franchise milestone with a brand-new Gear 5 Luffy reveal.

As seen in a recent post on the official One Piece X (formerly Twitter) account, original One Piece animator Masayuki Sato has unveiled a brand-new illustration of Gear 5 Luffy in celebration of the 26th anniversary of the hit anime series’ original broadcast date. Readers can check out the artwork for themselves down below. Sato has been part of One Piece from the very beginning of the hit series, having been a key animator, animation director and character designer for not only the mainline show but also many of its anime films and specials.
