High school students in military families speak on their experiences

The Pebble Hills High School marching band works most days a week, and a great percentage of the members live in military families, which means they may have to pack up their life and move at any point.

Actor and television host Mario Lopez, best known for his iconic role as A.C. Slater on “Saved by the Bell,” was recently spotted at a popular restaurant near Downtown El Paso.

Lopez was spotted at Salt + Honey, a popular brunch destination near Downtown El Paso, located at 1125 Texas Ave. The restaurant is known for brunch, but it serves all-day eats.

Lopez is in El Paso as a guest for the Dance For Kids’ Sake charity event at the Plaza Theatre, scheduled for Saturday night, Oct. 25. The annual fundraiser benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters of El Paso, marking Lopez’s return to the Sun City nearly a year after he attended a similar event in November 2024.

Lopez’s Instagram stories revealed that the night before, he attended a World Series game, wearing Los Angeles Dodgers gear alongside his sons. He also shared moments from his story, including a birthday celebration for actor Glen Powell, which featured a fun tracksuit-themed party with guests dressed in colorful retro athletic wear.

Lopez’s wife, Courtney Lopez, also posted a photo of the restaurant’s drink menu with the caption, “Yes, pls.” She is also a guest at the event.
