Ashlee Montague showed off her extreme acrobatic skills when she competed on America’s Got Talent – but she’s now trying her hand at a completely different career.
The ballet dancer competed on Season 19 of America’s Got Talent, finishing in the top 5 of her Quarterfinal week. Ashlee has since spent the past year traveling all over the world to perform in places like Brazil, Italy, France and Germany.
Now, she’s turning her hand to filmmaking and is starring in the upcoming movie Abandoned. Speaking to The Express US about the upcoming project, Ashlee told us, “I have a film coming out which is very exciting.
“It’s a horror film called Abandoned and that will release sometime 2026.” The dancer teased fans will “see an entirely new side of me” in the movie.
Ashlee underwent quite the transformation for the film and revealed she spent around eight-and-a-half hours in makeup to get ready for the role.
Speaking about the transformation, Ashlee described it as “incredible” and teased she got to turn into her “absolute alter ego” while filming.
The TV star is also hoping to carve out a career in music, having been working on something special for the past year.
Ashlee opened up to us about her life since America’s Got Talent and shared, “Since appearing on America’s Got Talent, I have traveled to Brazil, Italy, France, Germany all for for different TV shows, which has been incredible.”
She admitted she originally anticipated receiving only “a couple of calls from companies,” but was shocked to find out just how many people wanted her to perform for them. “It’s been wonderful,” she gushed.

Ashlee continued, “I actually did Das Supertalent, which was the German talent show, and I ended up getting third and I wish I spoke more German because I loved it so much.”
Reminiscing about her experience, Ashlee told us, “They were so kind and they’re so great.”
She added, “It’s been just a whirlwind of seeing where life is taking me, right? And I have so many things in the works that are coming up that are so exciting.”
Ashlee is now looking forward to seeing what happens next and said she is planning to “just keeping going, trying to one up myself more and more and more and see where it takes me.”
