Fayetteville native Jerrell Melton, 29, was eliminated during the Battle Rounds after an impressive showing on Team Snoop.

In the Battles, Melton went head-to-head with teammate Ralph Edwards, performing “Lose Control.”

Both singers delivered soaring high notes and undeniable stage chemistry, but in the end, Snoop chose to advance Edwards to the next round.

A graduate of Atlanta’s Morehouse College, Melton has become a familiar name in Georgia’s music scene.
