Look, I know Shane Bieber is really good. I know that the Blue Jays, in general, are a really good team. They won the American League East! The same division with the Yankees, the Red Sox, and the ever-pesky Rays!
And yet, it sort of feels like the series is over. The Dodgers lead 2-1, meaning that the Jays must take three of the next four games. Against this Dodgers team? The one that’s going to trot out Yamamoto once more, and who are starting Shohei Ohtani tonight, and who can turn to Tyler Glasnow and Blake Snell for another few games?
I hope the Blue Jays can take it to game 7 and win it in Toronto. That would be an epic, epic finish. But against the evil empire of the west, I’m not so sure that’s possible.
