Stephen Colbert discovered something Donald Trump has been trying to hide in the “copy” of his MRI.
During the latest segment of The Late Show, the 61-year-old host started off his monologue with yet another dig at the U.S. president.
As he fires off every possible jab before his show’s final episode, he turned his latest attention to Trump’s comments about his most recent MRI.
During a trip aboard Air Force One, the president said, “We had an MRI and in the machine, you know, the whole thing. And it was perfect. The doctor said some of the best reports, for the age, some of the best reports they’ve ever seen.”
During Colbert’s opening monologue on Tuesday. Oct. 29, Colbert sarcastically echoed Trump’s remarks while also revealing a “copy” of the MRI.
During an examination of the “perfect” visual, Colbert paused to question, “Wait, wait a second. What’s that in his stomach?”
The fabricated photo then zoomed into picture files titled “Epstein Files” with tabs of “The Island,” “Everyone Who Went,” and Things That Happened.”
The host exclaimed, “It’s the Epstein files! That’s where they were! I knew it! I knew it!”
Before continuing on to the rest of his show, Stephen pointed out, “Quick reminder. People don’t just get an MRI. You only get it when the doctors think something’s wrong with you.”
He went on to mention MRIs are usually performed to check for medical conditions like bone abnormalities. Colbert then added, “Wait a second! If he aced it, that means his bone spurs are gone!” referencing the businessman’s previous excuse to avoid military service.
Colbert’s relationship with Trump has been causing a frenzy lately, especially since many speculate that the president had something to do with the host’s show getting cancelled.
In July, Colbert criticized the president and Paramount for their $16 million settlement on a lawsuit the president filed over the way a 60 Minutes interview with Kamala Harris was edited in the lead-up to the 2024 election.

Commenting on the issue, the host said, “I believe this kind of complicated financial settlement with a sitting government official has a technical name in legal circles: it’s ‘big, fat bribe.’”
Just three days later, the network announced it would be cancelling the beloved late night talk show and the last episode would air in May 2026. CBS also shared that the franchise will retire with the “irreplaceable” host.
On his Truth Social account, Trump seemingly admitted he was involved in CBS’ decision but couldn’t take the full blame.
“Everybody is saying that I was solely responsible for the firing of Stephen Colbert from CBS, Late Night. That is not true!”
He concluded, “The reason he was fired was a pure lack of TALENT, and the fact that this deficiency was costing CBS $50 Million Dollars a year in losses — and it was only going to get WORSE!”
