It’s official: BMF is no more, as the show has been canceled after four seasons at Starz.
The Season 4 finale, which aired in August, now serves as the series finale.
The future of the show has been unclear for some time, especially given behind-the-scenes tension between executive producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and series subject, Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory, that started when Meech was released from prison. Still, sources told Deadline in March that the network was “pleased with Season 4 creatively” and was “looking forward to sharing new action-packed episodes with fans.”
Now, Deadline reports that, “We hear the feud was not the reason for the show’s cancellation. However, it did cause anxiety on the set of the third and fourth seasons as cast and crew wondered how long the show could continue, sources close to production revealed.”
50 Cent still has a ton of business in Starz, including multiple Power projects that are in different stages of development, and the upcoming British boxing drama, Fightland.

BMF season four continues the journey inspired by real life street legends and brothers, Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory (Demetrius Flenory Jr.) and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory (Da’Vinchi), who created one of the most influential crime families in the country, Black Mafia Family. This season, as Meech and Terry fight to keep their American Dream alive, staying ahead of their rivals and law enforcement takes a toll on their relationship. The brothers occasionally put aside their differences for their common goals, but the events of what happened in Mexico will change them forever.
BMF is executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson through his G-Unit Film and Television. The show’s creator, Randy Huggins, also executive produced alongside Season 4 showrunner Heather Zuhlke. Anthony Wilson, Damione Macedon, and Raphael Jackson, Jr. are additional executive producers. BMF is produced through Jackson’s G-Unit Film and Television in association with Lionsgate Television for Starz.
